We had always wanted
to give our cats the freedom of going out into the garden to play or just
sleep under a convenient shrub, but only under supervision.
This however can be very time-consuming, particularly on a fine day when they don't want to come in when we can no longer be with them. When they do have to come in we feel very guilty. Imagine then, we thought, how marvelous it would be if we could open the doors to the garden first thing in the morning and let them out for the whole day, confident in the knowledge they would come to no harm!

I started trying to come
up with a plan to make the garden cat-proof, looking for suitable brackets
and netting, etc. that would meet our needs, but to no avail. I checked
cat magazines for suitable products, again with no luck. Then a search
on the Internet came up with a cat-proofing system produced by a firm
called "Secur-a-Cat".
I made a phone call and the description of the product seemed to fit my needs exactly. I have now installed the system and am extremely pleased with the result, as are the cats! We have had no escapes to date and soon after installing the system the cats seemed to loose all interest in even trying to escape.
