Sophie was a British Blue Shorthair, she was born in 1993 and was Harry’s half sister. She was a very sweet little cat.
In 1999 she was diagnosed as suffering from Lymphocytic Gastritis, this is an auto-immune disease where her immune system was attacking her stomach. She had been treated with steroids and was doing very well until in April 2003 when we noticed she had started loosing weight again and had developed jaundice.
She was then diagnosed as suffering from Lymphocytic Cholangitis. This is a similar disease but her liver was now also being attacked. She was treated with steroids and antibiotics but was unable to fight this additional disease and was put to sleep on the 14th July 2003.
We are all missing her terribly.
