Tiggie was originally taken to Mavis Righini in September 2000 having lost her left back leg and with a broken right back leg. In April 2001 she went back to the people who found her and kept in a secure run. She was again returned to Mavis in July 2001 in a dreadful mess, looking as if she'd been attacked, it took a month for her wounds to heal.
She stayed with Mavis until August 2003 when she came to live in our secure garden with Uvey. They got on very well and were company for each other until Uvey was killed by a fox in 2004.
On Sunday 27th June 2004 we found that she had only eaten a mouthful of her food from the night before, on checking we could not find Tiggie anywhere in our garden. There was no possibility of her escaping so the only sad explanation was she had been taken by a fox. She was such a friendly little hedgehog which might have been the reason she didn't protect herself by curling up when attacked.
