Josh
lived along with his sister Jessica
as a feral for ten years in conditions that can be seen in these pictures.
It was only by the kindness of two elderly ladies that they were fed
and given water on a regular basis! They only had cardboard boxes for
shelter for all those years!
Josh and Jessica
were both unapproachable so when Croydon Cats Protection (CPL) were
asked to help, as the winter of 2003 approach, they had to be trapped.
They both lived in the feral area at the cattery until the 16th September
2006 when Josh was adopted by Jenny, a member of Croydon Cats Protection
(CPL). Jenny says he is so gentle and loves cuddles and being brushed.
He will only go in the garden when Jenny is with him as he is deaf,
which was only found out after he was adopted.
Josh had to be taken to the vets in October 2007 as he was not very
well, the results of a blood test showed he had a problem with both
his thyroid glands. He has been put on Felimazole tablets and at
first he did well but then started loosing weight and going down hill.
Liver cancer was diagnosed so
the very sad decision was taken on the 8th November 2007 to put him
put to sleep.
